This year our fund raising events for 2010 include the Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival, and the 5th Annual Golf Tournament.

Proceeds from the fundraisers will go to the SDUHSD Athletic Training Programs. These schools include, Torrey Pines High School, LA Costa Canyon High School, Canyon Crest Academy, and San DIeguito Academy.

Wine Festival

What: Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival
When: Saturday, June 5th, 2010 5-8pm
Where: Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas

The 7th Annual Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival is being held at the lovely San Diego Botanic Garden formerly know as Quail Botanical Gardens. This unique facility covers 37 acres of gardens with trails and native habitat and boasts over 4,000 different species of plants. It boasts a  word famous Bamboo Garden  and the brand new 4 million dollar addition of the Hamilton Children’s Garden. Guests of our Event will have an opportunity to stroll around this beautiful property sampling fine wines and beverages from around the world.

In addition, our local restaurants offer a taste sampling of their best dishes and desserts.  We will have top musicians entertaining the crowd in this relaxed setting. Our Silent Auction and Raffle are some of the evening’s other highlights. Our 2009 festival was our 1st attempt at a green eventand for our 600 + guests we had less than 5 gallons of non recyclable trash! 2010 will be as good or better our goal zero to the dump.

The 14 beneficiaries of this event are guaranteed $60 of each $85 ticket and 100% of the $135 ticket and $500 tickets. After May 15th, the minimum ticket price increases to $100 with $75 going to the chosen charity. Other prices and conditions remain the same on the $135 and $500 tickets. The Ticket price is at the option of each guest. Over the past six years, we have been able to raise over $330,000 to help others. Our goal this year is to contribute $90,000 for our 501 (c) (3) charities.

The San Dieguito Sports Medicine Foundation is proud to present its fifth annual golf tournament! This year it will be taking place at The Maderas Golf Club on Monday July 23 at 1:30pm. For those of you who have not golfed at Maderas it is one of the top rated courses in San Diego.

Sponsorships are available through packages ranging from $500 to $2,000. All players will enjoy an all-inclusive package of golf, on course beverages, tee gift, and a hosted awards reception. Registration begins at 12:00 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00pm. Be sure you are registered no later than 1:00pm. To ensure smooth play time, the tournament is limited to150 golfers.
